People often abandon their resolutions by the second Friday in January. By February, they had all given up. Five or ten-year goals are a stretch, except for retirement planning. So, what are obtainable immediate goals on which we can work?
First, schedule a health check. Call your doctor or a clinic to be seen for vital checks and medication refills, and schedule screenings to determine if you have any underlying health issues. Next, think about things you want to do to improve your quality of life. To personally enjoy your life, there are areas we all should work on.
Let's work on our finances. We tend to overspend in certain areas. Should you cut back on snacks, sodas, personal care products, clothing, and shoes? Too much online ordering can be an issue. All that extra money we save can be used for something we want or need to do.
Educational opportunities exist within our Near Northwest neighborhoods. Within a degree, all within one, two, or three, you can complete a high school to college degree miles from your home.
The time spent in this endeavor will improve other aspects of your life.
Other goals are reading, traveling, and developing skills.
These suggestions and others can lead to a more fulfilling 2025. Happy New Year!
